* IMPACTS: Low humidities, hot temperatures, strong gusty winds, wind shift with a cold front, and increasing thunderstorm activity will create erratic fire behavior and new fire starts.

* COLD FRONT: A cold front will cross the districts from Thursday evening through early Friday.
* WIND: Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 25 to 35 mph during the afternoon...highest gusts in the western foothills. Winds becoming northwest behind the cold front in the evening with gusty winds in the early evening.
* THUNDERSTORMS: Isolated to scattered thunderstorms over central and western areas in the afternoon, overspreading the rest of the area in the evening. Thunderstorms may produce strong, erratic wind gusts.
* HUMIDITY: From the single digits east to near 20 percent west.
* TEMPERATURES: From the upper 90s west to 108 east.
