Residents are reminded that the Hudson County Park Avenue Repaving Project is ongoing, and may result in traffic congestion, possibly into early August.
The Hudson County Department of Roads and Public Property is re-paving Park Avenue from Observer Highway in Hoboken to 19th Street in Weehawken. The roadwork is being conducted on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and requires intermittent and roving road closures and parking restrictions. Drivers should plan for delays, in particular when work is being conducted on the southern and northern most sections of Park Avenue, close to the City's entrances and exits.
The paving portion of the project is scheduled to begin at Observer Highway on Monday, July 29, and move northbound along Park Avenue throughout the week.
Temporary No Parking Signs will be posted. Hoboken Police officers will be positioned in the area to assist with detours, traffic control, and pedestrian safety. Driveway and garage access may be temporarily limited to certain residential properties while construction is occurring.
