Simi Valley, CA – The Simi Valley Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of California Oak Street and Crinklaw Lane.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident followed an altercation between two men. During the confrontation, one individual, legally licensed to carry a firearm, discharged a single round, resulting in the death of the other party involved. The individual who discharged the firearm is cooperating with our investigation.

At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing. There are no outstanding suspects and no immediate threat to public safety.
