On July 22, 2024, the Thousand Oaks Detective and Special Enforcement Units along with neighboring law enforcement agencies located and arrested two suspects who were suspected of committing three commercial burglaries throughout Ventura County during the early morning hours of March 14, 2024. On March 14, 2024, a series of commercial burglaries were reported at three different pharmacies in Ventura County. These burglaries occurred in Ventura, Camarillo, and city of Thousand Oaks. A red Dodge Charger was captured on video surveillance fleeing the location of the Ventura burglary. During the investigation, Detectives with the East County Special Enforcement Unit identified two of the suspects as (S) Aaron Corona, a resident of the city of South Gate and (S) Michael Fisher, a resident of the city of Los Angeles. Detectives also learned Corona and Fisher had been identified as suspects in the carjacking of a red Dodge Charger. The red Dodge Charger was used to commit the above-mentioned crimes, as well as other commercial burglary crimes throughout Los Angeles County. Detectives from the East County Special Enforcement Unit collaborated with the Downey Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in order to take Corona and Fisher into custody. On July 22, 2024, Ventura Sheriff detectives located and arrested Corona at his residence in the city of South Gate. During the service of the residential search warrant, an unregistered firearm was located as well as evidence linking Corona to his involvement in the three commercial burglaries. On July 23, 2024, Fisher was located in the city of Los Angeles and arrested by the Downey Police Department. Corona was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail and his bail was set at $250,000 with a court date of July 24, 2024. Additional federal firearms charges are pending. Fisher was booked into Federal Custody and will be supplementally booked in a Ventura County Jail at a future date. Additional arrests are anticipated.
