YOU’RE INVITED TO JOIN US! National Night Out is an annual crime prevention event and community-building campaign to promote police-community relationships and help enhance neighborhood camaraderie to build safer, more cohesive places to live. Ojai Police Department would like to invite the community to a family-friendly night out to meet first responders in your area including the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Ventura County Fire Department, Ventura County Emergency Medical Services and Ventura County Search and Rescue. Meet K9 “Andy” and our mounted volunteers along with their mounted companions. Have your child participate in Kid Print, a quick and easy program to identify your child to first responders in case of an emergency. Check out a fire truck or sit in a patrol vehicle, chat with first responders, and mingle with the community during a relaxing stroll through beautiful Libby Park. “I enjoy this event where we get to interact with the community in a fun, casual and relaxing way. I can’t think of a better way to strengthen our community partnership,” said Ojai Police Chief Trina Newman. “I hope to see everyone there!” The Ojai Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office are committed to strengthening community partnerships and maintaining the safety of all residents through collaboration, communication, cooperation and innovation.
