Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Armed Robbery Suspects
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the suspects pictured below, who robbed a victim at knife-point on July 12, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Lafayette when two Black males approached the victim. One of the men, wearing dark clothing and a beard, pulled out a knife and began fighting with the victim. The other suspect grabbed the victim’s leg and both men rifled through his pockets taking a cell phone and wallet. They fled in an unknown direction but were captured on surveillance video near Ferry and Polk Streets minutes before the robbery.
