As we continue with our recovery, here are a few more reminders for our citizens:

• DEBRIS REMOVAL - Trucks are moving throughout the city and will get to every house eventually. This is a long process and your patience is appreciated. Please help  by following the rules for separating and placing debris at the curb. 
  • Placement - DO NOT place debris on or near fire hydrants, manholes, utility meters, poles or trees 
  • Separating - tree branches, leaves & logs must be separate from all other debris
  • Bagged Leaves - place with household garbage on your second pickup day of the week
  • Fencing/Construction Material/etc. - stack separately from all other debris
  • Household trash - regular schedule
• DISASTER ASSISTANCE - The attached files will answer many questions that you have, please take the time to read them.
  • FEMA Disaster Assistance - Follow up on the status of your application because they may just need further documentation, don't give up! Contact FEMA online at Home | disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
  • FEMA Disaster Recovery Center - Register or ask questions in person at the FEMA DRC

• CITY SERVICES - We are here to help.
  • Permits - all fees are waived for permits for storm-related repairs including electrical, plumbing, construction and fences
  • Water Bills - all late fees are waived and there will be no disconnects for the month of July. Payment arrangements are available if needed, call City Hall at 979-265-2541 for assistance
