Several people are in custody after Oakland Police Department (OPD) officers saw a vehicle wanted in connection with a strong-arm robbery in another Bay Area city. On July 24, 2024, officers assigned to OPD’s Crime Reduction Team (CRT) observed the vehicle in East Oakland and identified it as being linked to an individual with outstanding warrants for robbery, burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon.

The individuals in custody are facing firearm-related charges. The case will be forwarded to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for further legal action.
