INCIDENT TYPE: Bomb City Police Explorer Competition

DETAILS: The Amarillo Police Explorer Post #5507 and Amarillo Police Department are hosting the Bomb City Police Explorer Competition Saturday, July 27th, 2024, at AmTech Career Academy. Exploring and Police Cadet teams from Houston PD, Keller PD, Grand Prairie PD, Killen PD and Ellis County Sherrif’s Office have all signed up. Over 85 explorers and advisors will be traveling to the Amarillo Community. The event will provide police scenarios and solo explorer events to test the knowledge these young people have learned in their programs. There will be vendors, fun activity games, networking opportunities, and trophies for winners. Police Exploring is a mentorship program for young adults interested in a career in law enforcement.
All proceeds will go to Amarillo Police Explorer Post #5507. Thank you to the sponsors Budweiser Distributing Company of Amarillo for donating nonalcoholic Hydration Drinks and Amarillo National Bank for their donation.
