Flood Advisory until 06:45PM Friday 
* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Dawson Draw to Disappointment Creek in southwest Colorado, including the following counties, Dolores and San Miguel.
* WHEN...Until 645 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 446 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cottonwood Draw, White Sands Draw, Dawson Draw and possibly Disappointment Creek over Disappointment Valley Road in San Miguel and Dolores counties. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Low water crossings in mountainous terrain can become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
