This is an update regarding the vegetation fire at the North End of Fish Canyon Road, Azusa. The fire has grown to approximately 5.9 acres. The fire has stopped all forward progress, and the situation is now under control. The fire does not pose an imminent danger to the City, no action is being recommended at this time.
The City will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if necessary. Encanto Park was temporarily closed to allow fire helicopters to refuel. The park has now reopened, and helicopters are no longer needed to battle the fire.
