* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southeast, and west central Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa, Boone, Dallas, Hamilton, Jasper, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story and Webster. In south central Iowa, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe and Warren. In southeast Iowa, Davis and Wapello. In west central Iowa, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene and Guthrie.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall will continue to develop along an elevated boundary through the evening and overnight hours. This boundary will also be in place over an area that has already experienced multiple rounds of rainfall through previous days, and may be primed for flash flooding.
