RECOVERY REMINDERS - 7/31

With this lovely dry weather, it’s the perfect time to tackle some cleanup! Get your remaining trees, limbs & branches to the curb this week. Let’s make the most of our awesome debris cleanup team while they’re here. Once they’re gone, it’ll be up to each of us to get debris removed, so now is your chance to utilize this free resource!

DEBRIS REMOVAL

  • Trucks: Crews are working citywide and have almost completed the first pass on vegetation cleanup.
  • Placement: Vegetation must be placed close to the road this week so it can be picked up on the next round. Avoid placing debris near fire hydrants, manholes, utility meters, poles, or low-hanging tree branches.
  • Separation: Keep tree branches, leaves, and logs separate from other debris.
  • Bagged Leaves: Place with household garbage on your second pickup day.
  • Construction Material: Stack separately from other debris, removal of these materials will take a while, so your patience is appreciated.

DISASTER ASSISTANCE

CITY SERVICES

  • Permits: Fees waived for storm-related repairs.
  • Water Bills: No late fees or disconnects for July. Call 979-265-2541 for payment arrangements.

Thank you for your patience as we recover from the hurricane! It’s like assembling a piece of IKEA furniture—every screw and instruction matters, and we’re committed to making sure it stands strong and looks great, not just putting it together in a hurry.
