1. Robbery (1540) 900 Block of West March Lane, Lakeview District
The female victim,16, was sitting in a vehicle when the suspect smashed the window and grabbed her property. She attempted to hold on to the property, but the suspect was able to pull it away and fled in a vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical. SUSPECT: Black male adult.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0312), 300 Block of South Burkett Avenue, Park District
The female victim, 33, reported the suspect assaulted her and pointed a firearm at her. Officers arrived on the scene and located the suspect. ARRESTED: Maurice Smith, 27, for assault with a deadly weapon and weapon charges.
