Activity for July 31, 2024:
- Officer Panther made contact with a subject in the 300 block of Steward Avenue. A 37-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Brooks and Officer Goings were dispatched to the 200 block of North Bowen Street for a personal welfare check. A 49-year-old female was transported to the hospital.
- Officer Goings responded to Montgomery Street and Blackstone Street for a found firearm.
- GVI hosted a Summer Safety event at Nixon Park.
- Officer Allison assisted City Inspection with an illegal dumping complaint in the 200 block of West Franklin Street.
- Officer Soloman was dispatched to a traffic crash near North West Avenue and West Monroe Street. A 47-year-old female was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Charges will be sought on a 48-year-old male for a moving violation causing injury.
- Officer Reasoner responded to the 100 block of East Mansion Street for a larceny report.
- Officer Reasoner was dispatched to First Street and Colfax Street for a stolen vehicle report. JSO Deputies located the vehicle traveling near North West Avenue and East Michigan Avenue, and conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle owner did not want to prosecute, and the 3 juvenile occupants were released to their parents.
- Officer Reasoner responded to a domestic dispute in the 800 block of South Milwaukee Street. A 53-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop at West Michigan Avenue and Fourth Street. The 30-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, 1st offense.
