INCIDENT: PC 29800(a)(1); Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm
LOCATION: 4000 Block of Artesia Avenue, Landers, CA
SUSPECT(S): Shawn Joseph Anderson, 52-year-old resident of Landers
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station served a search warrant at a residence in the 4000 block of Artesia Avenue, in the unincorporated county area of Landers. During the search warrant, Shawn Anderson was located hiding inside his garage and was detained. A loaded, semi-automatic handgun was located in the garage and taken as evidence.
Anderson was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for PC 29800(a)(1) and an outstanding felony warrant. He is being held without bail.
