The East Baton Rouge City-Parish Department of Transportation and Drainage, Traffic Engineering Division announced today, August 1, 2024, that the Carey Rd. Bridge will be closed beginning August 2, 2024 until further notice. This bridge is over Blackwater Bayou and located between Brown Rd. and Blackwater Rd. Alternate routes are Blackwater Rd. to Comite Dr.
