Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Narcotics Intended for Sales, Driver Arrested

LOCATION: Grand Avenue and Peyton Drive, Chino Hills, CA
SUSPECT(S): Vincent Chow, 34-year-old, resident of Pomona, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On July 31, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Deputy Jason Boord from the Chino Hills Police Station conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. During the initial contact, the driver, Vincent Chow, was uncooperative and would not comply with Boord's commands. Boord observed Chow moving and reaching inside the passenger compartment. Additional deputies arrived and detained Chow without incident.
Deputies conducted a visual search of the vehicle and observed a large quantity of suspected narcotics on the front passenger seat. Deputies recovered approximately eight pounds of suspected narcotics, including fentanyl, a large amount of US currency, and a weapon located in the driver's door. Chow was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
