Borel Fire- KCSO SAR is asking for the community’s assistance

UPDATE:
KCSO would like to thank the public for all of their assistance and calls to the Communication Center and have gathered sufficient evidence to assist our Search and Rescue crews in the Havilah area. 

We no longer need calls for confirmation regarding inhabitants of evacuated residences. 

Message for Evacuees from Havilah, CA, primarily if your residence was burned down, KCSO Search and Rescue is asking that you contact the KCSO Communications Center at 661-861-3110 and provide:

  • Your address
  • Total number of inhabitants at the time of the fire
  • If they have all been accounted for
If you know of any residents from Havilah, please urge them to contact KCSO and confirm this information.

KCSO SAR has not initiated searches in other communities that have been affected by the fire yet. As SAR continues their efforts, updates will be provided for each community.
