Teacher Arrested for Child Pornography, Detectives Believe Additional Victims May Exist and Release Photo

INCIDENT:  PC 311.11(a) Possession of Child Pornography
        
 
LOCATION: Lake Arrowhead, San Bernardino County

SUSPECT: Jack Daymond Allen, 62-year-old, resident of Lake Arrowhead
 
SUMMARY: On January 22, 2024, the Peters Township Police Department in Pennsylvania and the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)-Child Exploitation Investigations Group conducted a child sexual abuse investigation. During the investigation, investigators learned Jack Daymond Allen used an online chat platform to contact a minor who was a resident of Pennsylvania. HSI agents informed the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail, and the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED), who assumed the investigation. 

On July 24, 2024, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania issued an arrest warrant for Allen for multiple child sexual abuse crimes. At the conclusion of the investigation, Allen was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for an active arrest warrant. CAC investigators discovered Allen was also in possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and will later be supplementally booked for PC 311.11(a) Possession of Child Pornography.  Allen is a schoolteacher at Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School in Lake Arrowhead.  

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing Allen’s photograph.
