The Village of New Lenox advises that Veterans Parkway will be closed to thru traffic today, August 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. due to an event in the Village Commons. Chalk Walk will be taking place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and details can be found at newlenox.net/events. The suggested alternate route is Route 30 to Nelson to Haven. Old Plank Trail Community Bank and the New Lenox Library will be accessible via Independence Blvd.
