Wilmington Police arrest two, recover narcotics and multiple firearms:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men and recovered narcotics and multiple firearms.
During the month of July, members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were conducting an investigation into drug activity in the 3800 block of North Market Street. On July 31 at approximately 10:12 a.m., members of the unit – with the assistance of the Safe Streets Task Force and Canine Unit – executed a search warrant in that block.
Police recovered two 9mm handguns – both with extended magazines – as well as 57.2 grams of marijuana, .056 grams of heroin, 7.7 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of crack cocaine, 18 Xanax pills, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and $975 in currency.
Police took two suspects – 35-year-old Alexander Pratt and 40-year-old Korey Marshall – into custody without incident.
Pratt, who was found to have multiple active capiases, has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony – Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Six Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Marshall has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Four Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity – Two Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
