VICTIM 1: Richard Reyes-Escobar, 22-year-old, resident of Adelanto VICTIM 2: Javier Flores, 28-year-old resident of Hesperia
VICTIM 3: SBCSD Deputy Sheriff
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, August 1, 2024, at approximately 5:11 PM, deputies from the Victorville Station, and rescue personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to a three-vehicle crash which occurred in the area of Bear Valley Road and Mesa View Drive in Victorville. Upon arrival, deputies determined that a burgandy Scion XA, a black Dodge Durango, and a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department vehicle, who was in pursuit of another vehicle, were involved in the crash. Occupants of all three vehicles sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation.
Bear Valley Road between Mesa View Drive and Monte Vista Road were closed for several hours for the investigation.
