Special Weather Statement until 06:00PM

At 532 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Fort Sumner, moving west at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Fort Sumner and Taiban. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 323 and 345.

Instructions:

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibilities below one quarter mile at times.
