Potential Tropical Cyclone #4 Update

Your High Springs Fire Department continues to monitor Potential Tropical Cyclone (PTC) #4, currently pushing West-Northwest through Cuba.
The primary concern for this storm will be rain. How much exactly still varies wildly. Shifts in the storm track will impact how much rain we may see.
Alachua County has announced sandbags will be available at Wayside Park, 11855 NW US HWY 441, tomorrow (Saturday) August 3rd, from 10AM-6PM. Sandbags and shovels will be available for self-serve. LIMIT 10 BAGS PER VEHICLE.
Continue to follow official forecasts from the National Weather Service in Jacksonville and the National Hurricane Center. We of course will continue to keep you updated.
