Tropical Depression 4
Good afternoon Island residents,
Charleston County’s Emergency Operations briefing was held today at 3:00 p.m. with all state and municipal partners reporting; Mayor O’Neil and Town staff in attendance.
NOAA advisory indicates Tropical Depression 4 will continue to strengthen over warm Gulf waters, with hurricane conditions possible late Sunday along Florida's Gulf coast. Storm is expected to slow as it approaches the Charleston area Monday afternoon, with 6”-12” of rain expected; 18” in isolated areas. Sullivan’s Island residents are encouraged to take all precautions in preparing family emergency plans and property flood preparations.
