TROPICAL STORM DEBBY UPDATE #4

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING and FLASH FLOOD WATCH are in effect.

Excessive rainfall and flooding are the primary concerns. Scattered power outages are also likely.

Due to the expected slow motion of Debby, a lengthy period of moderate to heavy rain is expected.

Current rainfall predictions call for 6-12 inches. If Debby slows, those numbers will likely increase.

There is the potential for flooding, especially in low-lying areas and poor drainage locations.

Inundation into homes, and flooded & washed-out roads is possible.

Moderate flooding along the Santa Fe River is forecast. Major flooding is possible, depending on the amount of rain south Georgia receives in the days to come. Much of that water eventually flows south.

Conditions will begin to slowly deteriorate later this afternoon and evening, as bands of rain gradually work into the region. The heaviest rain will fall on Monday and Tuesday.

Final preparations should be completed by late afternoon today.
