* Flash Flood Warning for... Alachua County in northern Florida... West Central Bradford County in northern Florida... Southern Columbia County in northern Florida... East Central Gilchrist County in northern Florida... Southeastern Hamilton County in northern Florida... Western Union County in northern Florida...

* Until 1245 PM EDT.

* At 743 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Gainesville, Lake City, Lake Butler, White Springs, Worthington Spring, Melrose, Alachua, High Springs, Hawthorne, Worthington Springs, Upland Pines, Groves, New River, Beasley, Providence, Gainesville Airport, University Of Florida, Sampson, Palestine Community and Newnans Lake.
