On 08/04/24 at approximately 0914 hours officers responded to the 800 block of Highland Blvd for a report of a male that had been shot after a verbal disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the victim had minor injuries and not transported by EMS. After further investigation Shawn M. Thompson (28) was identified as a person of interest. Thompson fled prior to officer’s arrival. Thompson was located by Bannock County Sheriff’s Office in Lava Hot Springs and was taken into custody for Aggravated Battery without incident.
