* Flash Flood Warning for... Central Mercer County in central New Jersey... Central Monmouth County in central New Jersey... Southwestern Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 815 PM EDT.

* At 413 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen with the highest totals occuring near Washington Crossing. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Trenton, Marlboro, Ewing, Holmdel, Princeton, Jamesburg, Hightstown, Cranbury, Pennington, Twin Rivers, Clearbrook Park and Princeton Meadows. This includes the following highways... Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 64 and 76. New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8A and 9.
