Flood Watch 
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for our area beginning Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm until Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 12:00 pm. Current forecasts show a slow moving storm bringing showers and thunderstorms overnight into tomorrow. The National Weather Service has increased rainfall totals overnight to be 1-2 inches. Some isolated areas may receive 3+ inches of rain. Some thunderstorms may bring isolated instances of strong winds and cloud to ground lightening. Excessive water runoff will result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying flood-prone areas. Residents should be aware if they live in a flood prone area to take precautions. Township roadways are also expected to flood. Residents should expect detours and closures. Please avoid travel. Please do NOT walk or drive through flooded areas.
