* At 530 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the Tucson Mountains west into the Three Points area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in the Tucson Mountain area. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Marana, Drexel Heights, Three Points, Tucson Estates, Saguaro National Park West, Tucson Mountain Park, Valencia West, Picture Rocks, San Pedro and Ryan AirField. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Manville Rd at Brawley Wash, Camino de Oeste from Sweetwater to Gates Pass, Ironwood Hills Dr from Shannon to Camino de Oeste and Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste. This includes the following highways... Route 86 between mile markers 138 and 166. Route 286 between mile markers 42 and 45.
