* Until 130 AM EDT.

* At 1107 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Trenton, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Edison, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Marlboro, Manalapan and Carteret. This includes the following highways... Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 57 and 63. New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8 and 13. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 3. Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 18. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 116 and 134.
