As of 10:45 a.m., today, August 7, Beaufort County remains under the following watches and warnings: Tropical Storm Warning, Storm Surge Warning, Flash Flood Warning, and Flood Watch.
Tropical Storm Debby is currently offshore and continues to move at a slow rate. The National Weather Service continues to forecast potentially historic rainfall and flooding through at least Friday morning.
Most primary roads have been reported to be in drivable condition; however, there still could be standing water and fallen debris in some areas. Please DO NOT drive through flooded roads. Remember that saying, “Turn around. Don’t drown”. You never know exactly how deep the flood waters are and they pose danger to you and your safety.
