Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
Beginning in July, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 700 block of East 6th Street. On August 1, at approximately 9:30 a.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 21-year-old Maurkel Harrigan into custody without incident. Police recovered 53.3 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Harrigan has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released on $5,200 unsecured bail.
