MONDAY, JULY 29, 2024:
 
4:06 AM Officer Kapu investigated a commercial burglary near Newark Boulevard & Jarvis Avenue.
 
7:33 AM Officer C. Torres investigated a license plate theft near Ruschin Drive & Newark Boulevard.
 
8:03 AM Officer Quinonez investigated an attempted vehicle theft at Cherry Street & Stevenson Boulevard. The steering column was damaged in an attempt to tamper with the ignition.
 
8:07 AM Officer Frentescu investigated a residential burglary and a vehicle theft near Newark Boulevard & Civic Terrace Avenue. The vehicle was recovered near Cherry Street & Clark Avenue.
 
9:01 AM Officer Taylor investigated a robbery near Mowry Avenue & Cedar Boulevard. Reported loss included professional camera equipment.
 
10:08 AM Community Services Officer (CSO) Lau investigated a window smash vehicle burglary near Mowry Avenue & Newpark Mall Road. Reported loss included a backpack.
 
11:18 AM CSO Lau investigated a vehicle theft near Cherry Street & Stevenson Boulevard.
 
3:43 PM Officer Lomeli conducted a welfare check near Lafayette & Sandalwood Avenues. A 34-year-old male was arrested for resisting arrest and battery. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
7:39 PM Officers recovered multiple stolen vehicles near Bridgepointe Drive & Idlewild Court, Cherry Street & Redeker Place.
 
TUESDAY, JULY 30, 2024:
 
9:12 AM Officer Berlanga responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the 7400 block of Mowry Avenue. A 29-year-old male was cited for possession of narcotics.
 
12:19 PM Officer Kim investigated a vehicle theft near Gateway Boulevard & Jarvis Avenue.
 
2:48 PM Officer Kim responded to a trespassing incident near Cherry Street & Market Avenue. A 39-year-old male was arrested for vandalism and multiple outstanding warrants. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
4:01 PM Officer Lor responded to a call of an unwanted subject near Filbert Street & Wells Avenue. A 57-year-old male was arrested for trespassing and booked into Santa Rita Jail.  
 
WEDNESDAY, JULY 31, 2024:
 
1:22 AM Officer Norvell responded to Baine Avenue & Cherry Street for a disturbance. A 39-year-old male was arrested for corporal injury and was transported to Santa Rita Jail for booking.
 
6:15 AM CSO Mora investigated a package theft near Scarborough & Edgewater Drives.
 
6:31 AM Officers investigated multiple thefts of items from unlocked vehicles near Cedar Boulevard & Mahogany Place. Reported losses included clothing, a garage door opener, reading glasses, and keys.
 
10:22 AM CSO Lau investigated a window smash commercial burglary near Newark Boulevard & Dairy Avenue. Reported loss included multiple articles of clothing.
 
9:04 PM Officer Berlanga responded to a disturbance near Newark Boulevard & Jarvis Avenue. A 39-year-old male was arrested for loitering and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
11:13 PM CSO Mora responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle near Lavender Place & Moores Avenue. The recovered vehicle was later determined to be stolen.
 
THURSDAY, AUGUST 1, 2024:
 
9:48 AM Officers investigated a vehicle theft and vehicle burglary near Gateway Boulevard & Jarvis Avenue.
 
1:38 PM CSO Lau investigated a vehicle burglary near Balentine Drive & Stevenson Boulevard. The vehicle locks were forced open, and reported loss included power tools.
 
2:41 PM Officers responded to a vehicle theft in progress near Shady Hollow Drive & Braidburn Avenue.
 
3:05 PM Officer Orozco recovered a stolen vehicle near Spruce Street & Cypress Point.
 
6:32 PM Officer Lor responded to a theft in progress near Newark Boulevard & Jarvis Avenue. A 41-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting and an outstanding vandalism warrant. He was transported and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
7:45 PM Officer Lara investigated a window smash vehicle burglary on Thornton Avenue & Cedar Boulevard. There was no reported loss.
 
10:37 PM Officer Lara was on proactive patrol near Cedar Boulevard & Thornton Avenue and arrested a 44-year-old male in possession of narcotics. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
11:46 PM Officer Lor recovered a stolen vehicle near Sycamore Street & Clark Avenue.
 
FRIDAY, AUGUST 2, 2024:
 
7:08 AM Officer McCuin investigated a report of fraud near Jonathan Drive & McLaughlin Avenue. An 18-year-old male was arrested for theft, forgery, fraud, and was transported to Santa Rita Jail for booking. 
 
10:16 AM Officer Medina located a burglarized vehicle near Central Avenue & Willow Street. The door lock was damaged, and there is no reported loss at this time.  
 
9:00 PM Officers investigated multiple vehicle burglaries near Central Avenue & Willow Street. One vehicle’s door lock was forced open and another vehicle’s rear trunk was accessed. Loss included camping equipment, a bicycle, and various personal items.
 
SATURDAY, AUGUST 3, 2024:
 
12:58 AM Officer Stevenson was dispatched to Balentine Drive & Stevenson Boulevard for a welfare check. A 44-year-old male with an outstanding warrant was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
3:18 AM Officer Williams conducted a traffic stop on Mowry Avenue. A 22-year-old female motorist was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and driving under the influence. She was transported and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
4:40 AM Officers investigated a vehicle theft near Newpark Mall Road.
 
11:27 AM Officer Kim investigated a vehicle theft near Morton & Central Avenues.
 
2:35 PM Officer Orozco investigated a vehicle theft at Jarvis Avenue & Dumbarton Court.
 
7:36 PM Officer Lara responded to an active commercial burglary on Newpark Mall Road. A 29-year-old male was located on scene with narcotics and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
10:22 PM Officers responded to a report of an assault near Thornton Avenue & Cedar Boulevard. A 28-year-old male was arrested for aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Another individual, a 43-year-old male was arrested for evading arrest and multiple outstanding warrants. Both subjects were transported and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
11:26 PM CSO Vuong investigated a vehicle theft near Sycamore & Filbert Streets.
 
SUNDAY, AUGUST 4, 2024:
 
9:23 AM Officer Orozco investigated a vehicle theft near Jasmine Avenue & Bluebell Drive.
 
11:46 AM Officer Kim investigated a license plate theft near Cherry Street & Stevenson Boulevard.
 
4:14 PM CSO Vuong investigated the theft of gasoline from a vehicle near Haley Street & Cedar Boulevard.
 
5:08 PM Officer Frentescu responded to a vehicle collision near Cherry Street & Stevenson Boulevard. A 64-year-old male was arrested for driving under the influence and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
6:01 PM Officer Williams investigated a theft of a sign near Arrowhead Place & Burning Tree Drive.
