•Rainfall: 1-2” for NYC and points N&W, around 1” for LI and S CT Fri Aft through Friday night. Locally, amounts could be higher. Potential for scattered (NYC and points N&W) to isolated (LI & S CT) urban, poor drainage, and quick responding river/stream flooding from heavy rain and saturated grounds.
•Severe Thunderstorms: Potential for isolated severe storms with damaging winds gusts and brief tornadoes, along/ahead of cold front Fri Aft through Friday night.
•Winds: Southerly winds 20-30 mph gusts 35 to 45 mph possible along the coast Fri Aft through Friday night. Minor tree damage and isolated power outages possible.
•Coastal: High Surf and High Risk of rip currents along ocean beaches likely Friday into Saturday.
