Flood Advisory until 08:45AM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen, Essex and Passaic and southeast New York, including the following counties, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 845 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 645 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated several narrow south to north bands of moderate to occasionally heavy rain moving across the area. These bands will likely continue for the next couple of hours varying in location and intensity. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Paterson, Passaic, Wayne, Bloomfield, New City, Newburgh, Paramus, Ridgewood, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Ramsey, Ringwood, Haverstraw, Pompton Lakes, Suffern, Monroe, Caldwell, Walden and Nyack. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
