Wilmington Police have arrested a woman on drug charges.
Beginning in July, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 1700 block of West 3rd Street. On August 6, at approximately 9:45 a.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 50-year-old Lawana Mclean into custody without incident. Police recovered 1,505.3 grams of marijuana, 19.1 grams of crack cocaine, 186 Oxycodone pills, 57 Alprazolam pills, $5,336, and drug paraphernalia.
Mclean has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity – Three Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity – Three Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released after posting $45,200 secured bail.
