TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Today’s Anticipated Rain and Thunderstorms May Produce Flooding
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé reports that due to today’s anticipated rainfall and thunderstorms, many streets may be flooded and drivers should avoid them.
Today, thunderstorms are expected after 2 p.m. Tonight, rain is anticipated to continue into tomorrow morning.
The above-listed locations should be avoided by drivers due to the potential for flooding.
The Department of Public Safety is coordinating responses to burglar alarms, flooding conditions, and other weather-related incidents through the combined use of Police, Fire, and Office of Emergency Management Personnel. Special attention should be given to unsecured outdoor furniture, awnings, refuse, and building materials.
