At 330 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles north of Montoya, or 19 miles west of Tucumcari, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern San Miguel, west central Quay and northeastern Guadalupe Counties. This includes State Road 104 between Mile Markers 84 and 88.
