This is a message from the Hoke County Utilities Department.  Many residents in the Arabia and Antioch areas are experiencing periods of low water pressure due to a water main break.

Please be assured that the Public Utilities Department is working diligently to locate the source of the issue and restore the water line as quickly as possible. We understand the importance of reliable water service and are committed to resolving this problem efficiently.

To address this concern, the County will be providing drinking water to residents impacted by the low pressure. The planned distribution sites include the Elgin Memorial Park 3195 Red Springs Road, Raeford North Carolina and Sandy Grove Middle School, 300 Chason Road, Lumber Bridge North Carolina.  Distribution will occur between 3 pm and 7 pm except Saturday and Sunday when it will occur between 1 pm and 5 pm.  Distribution will be one case per car/family per day. 

Additionally, we have coordinated with surrounding partners to ensure the availability of fire services for our volunteer fire departments, also impacted by the low water pressure. We understand that this situation may cause significant inconvenience and stress for your families, and we sincerely apologize for any disruptions this may bring to your daily life.
