* WHAT...For Turnagain Arm and the Anchorage Hillside, southeast winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts 65 to 80 mph expected. For South, West, and East Anchorage, and higher elevations of Eagle River, southeast winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts 55 to 65 mph expected. For the rest of Anchorage Municipality and lower elevations of Eagle River, southeast winds to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
* WHERE...Anchorage, Eagle River, and Turnagain Arm.
* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 6 AM AKDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...High winds could move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The combination of strong winds with recent rainfall and saturated ground could also lead to downed trees and power lines.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to increased confidence, the warning has been expanded to include the lower elevations of Anchorage, and forecast wind gusts have increased.
