INCIDENT: Assault with a Weapon
LOCATION: 13000 block of Arrow Route, unincorporated Fontana
VICTIM: Adult Male
SUSPECT: Andrew Mesa, 32-year-old Resident of Unincorporated Fontana
SUMMARY: On Saturday, August 10, 2024, at about 3:26 a.m., Fontana Station deputies responded to a stabbing in the 13000 block of Arrow Route, unincorporated Fontana. Upon arrival, deputies found the adult male victim with a stab wound. They obtained first aid supplies and assisted the victim until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.
Through investigation, Andrew Mesa, a 32-year-old resident of unincorporated Fontana, was identified as the suspect. On Sunday, August 11, 2024, Mesa came to the Fontana Station. Mesa was arrested for assault with a weapon, transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation, and booked into West Valley Detention Center.
