Storm Debris Drop Off Location

As we pickup from Hurricane Debby, please remember that any yard debris placed out for collection needs to comply with the regular specifications for yard debris placed curbside. Any material outside of those specifications will not be collected by the City’s provider, WastePro.
The volume of yard debris placed curbside for collection is far exceeding a normal collection week. WastePro’s yard waste truck is only available to the city once a week, which will delay some customers' pickup of yard debris.
Yard debris includes leaves, tree and shrub trimmings, and small tree limbs. It does not include boards, fencing, landscape timbers, lumber, dirt, rocks, brick, or concrete.
Piles should be no bigger than 6 feet long, 4 feet wide, 3feet in height. Branches can be no longer than 6 feet in diameter and no wider than 6 inches in diameter.
Alternatively, you may now drop off your debris at the High Springs WasteWater Facility, 25555 NW 158th Ave.
Further, open burning of “yard waste” (defined as leaves, shrub trimmings, grass clippings, palm fronds, and brush) on residential premises of not more than two family units is allowed in Florida.
Authorization from Florida Forest Service is not required for burning of residential yard waste; however, it is recommended that you still contact FFS regarding burn conditions for the day(s) you plan to open burn.
