Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on August 12, 2024 at approximately 1337 Hours, his Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Old 205 and Kristy Ln., Mason Township, Cass County, Michigan.
 
Investigation showed Caitlyn Gose (24 years old of Edwardsburg, MI) was stopped on Old 205 attempting to turn left onto Kristy Ln. Jakub Jaskiewicz (23 years of Niles, MI) was traveling east on Old 205 and failed to stop  striking the vehicle belonging to Gose, and forcing it off the road. Gose and her passenger Joshua Miller (35 years of Edwardsburg MI) were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
 
All Occupants were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. This crash remains under investigation.
