An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.4 struck an area approximately 2.5 miles southeast of Highland Park.  The earthquake was felt in Sierra Madre – Sierra Madre Police, Fire, and Public Works personnel are making inspections on critical infrastructure and key areas around town.
