Deputies Assist US Forestry on a Call for Subjects Brandishing a Firearm

SUSPECT(S): Humberto Nambo, 28-year-old Male Resident of Rialto
17-year-old Juvenile Resident of Bloomington
VICTIM(S): The State of California
SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 11, 2024, at approximately 2:09 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Fontana Station responded to a request to assist U.S. Forestry Service in the 400 block of N. Lytle Creek Road, reference a brandishing of a handgun. Forestry followed the suspects, driving in a dark gray Honda Civic sedan, from the day-use area of Lytle Creek south on Lytle Creek Road. With the assistance of deputies, Forestry conducted a felony car stop of the Honda in the area of Lytle Creek Road and Glen Helen Park Way, and detained the occupants. During a search of the Honda, deputies located an unserialized, "ghost gun", 9mm handgun. The firearm, which both suspects had in their possession at one point, was located in their immediate area.
Deputies arrested Humberto Nambo for PC 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and a felony no bail warrant for PC245, Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The juvenile was arrested and cite released to his parents for PC 25850(a) Possession of a Loaded Firearm on his person and in a vehicle in a public place.
