LOCATION: Walmart - Twentynine Palms Highway & Avalon Avenue, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): Ongoing investigation
VICTIM(S): 38-year old Male Resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 10:44 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station were dispatched to the Walmart shopping plaza on Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley, in response to a reported stabbing. Deputies located the 38-year-old male victim suffering from life threatening injuries and his injuries were consistent with those from a sharp-edged, deadly weapon. Soonafter arriving on-scene, deputies administered life saving measures on the victim, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Detectives from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station assumed the investigation and are actively working on this case.
