INCIDENT: P.C. 211 - Robbery, P.C. 487(A) - Grand Theft
LOCATION: 14300 block of Bear Valley Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Chantay Summer Clifford, 34-year-old Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 11, 2024, at approximately 4:02 p.m., Deputy C. Barajas observed a JCPenney loss prevention employee attempt to stop an unknown female outside of the store from leaving with unpaid merchandise.
The female, who was identified as Chantay Summer Clifford, walked out of JCPenney with merchandise that had not been paid for, and refused to stop when confronted by a store loss prevention officer. Clifford fled to her vehicle in the store parking lot. Deputy Barajas contacted Clifford in front of her vehicle. The stolen property was recovered, totaling $1,330.
Chantay Summer Clifford was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 211- Robbery, and P.C. 487(A)- Grand Theft.
